modern romance at its finest. Who knew that one right swipe on Bumble would set the universe in motion? Our first date was at DuMont’s Down Low and then a Paul Oakenfold DJ set, where we bonded over EDM, black holes, positive vibes, UX/UI and our shared obsession with finding the perfect travel partner. It was an instant connection, like the stars had aligned.

And then… April immediately ditched Bill and ran off to Michigan for Halloween. (Not suspicious at all, right?) Meanwhile, Bill counted the days until she got back, questioning all his life choices and possibly refreshing her texts a little too often. But as soon as she returned, we made up for lost time—playing endless rounds of basketball at Cidercade (where Bill thinks he won), watching movies, and just soaking up every moment together.

Then, on New Year’s Eve, under a sky full of fireworks, Bill dropped the big “I love you.” No take-backs. No cool-off period. Just love. By June, we made it official—moving in together, navigating life as a team, and proving that the universe really knew what it was doing.

Through the highs, the heartbreaks of losing loved ones, and a few too many impulse wine purchases, we’ve stood by each other’s side. Bill never left April’s side, and April never doubted that Bill was her anchor. Now, we’re about to say I do—destined by the stars, blessed by the moon, and Til Death by LaCoste.

And as if the universe hadn’t already given us enough, it gave us one of the best gifts of all: April becoming a bonus mom to Lola, a role she loves more than anything.
